CurrentMind was founded during the 2008 presidential elections. At that time, it seemed that every blog on the internet started to push the liberal agenda. There was little escape. From cars to tech and everything in between, the internet had turned into a left wing propaganda machine. There seemed to be a lack of voices from the right.
We decided to start a blog that dealt with the issues on our mind (thus the name) from a conservative point of view. Although not limited to politics, this site could be a haven for those fed up with the liberal slant found on so many other sites. While the political climate has cooled off after the election, the general movement of this country towards socialist ideologies (bailouts, stimulus, and big government deficit spending) is a constant issue on out minds. As a result, this blog has delved more into politics than we have ever planned. Maybe one day will will get back to the concept of a general subject blog… but, I believe there is a famous quote that goes along the lines of… I am interested in politics so that one day I won’t have to be.
