Spend and finger point
“Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.“
The Obama administration seems quick to point the finger when it comes to their new, superdeeduper, earmarked, pork filled, spending bill. Budget chief Peter Orszag says “We want to just move on. Let’s get this bill done, get it into law and move forward.” While, Obama’s Chicago crony Rahm Emanuel brushes it off by claiming “That’s last year’s business”. They are quick to point the finger back to the Bush administration and claim that they inherited a $1.7 trillion deficit.
“That is the facts.” Emanuel says.
Really? Well, Mr. Emanual, it seems you are leaving out a few facts. You actually inherited this deficit from a Democrat controlled congress. For it is they who created and approved it. Yes, Bush signed off on it (something for which we are not proud). However, much of this deficit is from last year’s financial and bank bailouts. A program not popular amongst the American people and championed by then Senator Obama during his campaign.
So in the end, you reap what you sew. You have inherited your own creation at the detriment of the American people. As with everything in Washington these days, failure is rewarded and irresponsible spending is fixed with more irresponsible spending. All the while the free markets (what’s left of them) continue to crumble.
